किसी भी संस्कृति का नैसर्गिक विकास एवं मौलिक चिंतन उस समाज की अपनी मातृ भाषा में ही संभव है,ब्रिटिश आधिपत्य के कारण लंबे समय तक भारतीय जन मानस अंग्रेजी शासन की मानसिक गुलामी के शिकंजे में फंसकर अपनी मातृ भाषा से विरक्त हो गया,अब प्रत्येक वर्ष 14 सितम्बर को हिंदी दिवस मनाकर अपनी मातृ भाषा हिंदी की जड़ों को सुदृढ़ करने का कार्य कर रहा हैं।
