 उगते हुऐ सूर्य की कान्तिमय रश्मियां सदैव से ही ऊर्जा की संवाहक रही है, ऋषि मुनियों से लेकर हमारी सनातन संस्कृति अनादि काल से ही इस तथ्य से भिज्ञ रही है,यही कारण है कि सूर्यदेव की उपासना एवं आराधना का विधान सनातन हिन्दू वैदिक संस्कृति में है,इसी परम्परा के निर्वहन में चार दिवसीय छठ पूजा में चतुर्थ दिन सूर्य देव को अर्घ्य के साथ ही पूजन का समापन होता है।
