 सनातन एक मात्र ऐसा धर्म है, जो त्याग और समर्पण का अनादिकाल से ही पर्याय रहा है।
यही वह पावन संस्कृति है, जिसमें अर्घ्य देकर प्यास को चुनने की परंपरा है।
इसी पौराणिक परंपरा के निर्वहन में छठ के तीसरे दिन अस्त होते सूर्य को अर्घ्य देकर उपवास का वरण किया जाता है।

Sanatan is the only religion which has been synonymous with sacrifice and dedication since time immemorial.
This is the sacred culture in which there is a tradition of quenching thirst by offering Arghya.
In fulfillment of this mythological tradition, the fast is broken by offering Arghya to the setting sun on the third day of Chhath Puja.
