खरना का अर्थ है शुद्धिकरण।
अनुष्ठान करने वाले मानसिक एवं वाचिक शुद्धिकरण के साथ उपवास कर सूर्य आराधना करते हुए, छठ मैया को प्रसन्न करते है।

Kharna is the second day in the four-day Chhath Puja.
Kharna means purification.
Those who perform the ritual please Chhath Maiya by fasting with mental and verbal purification and worshiping the Sun.
