 "बुद्ध मूल रूप में एक ऐसी चेतना हैं,जो आम जन मानस से लेकर अध्यात्म के अंतिम सोपान तक उसी सहजता में उपलब्ध हैं,जिस सहजता में जन मानस उसे पाना चाहता है, वैशाख माह शुक्ल पक्ष पूर्णिमा की विशिष्ट महत्ता भारतीय संस्कृति में इसलिए भी है,क्योंकि इस दिन भगवान बुद्ध के धरा अवतरण के साथ भगवान बुद्ध को ज्ञान की प्राप्ति भी इसी पूर्णिमा के दिन हुई थी।"
