 "श्रावण मास शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया तिथि के दिन ही ब्रह्मांड में सर्वोच्च आध्यात्मिक शाश्वत प्रेम का प्रतीक देवी पार्वती का पुनर्मिलन देवों के देव महादेव से हुआ था, इसी की फलश्रुति स्वरूप इस दिन देवी पार्वती का आशीर्वाद सभी सुहागिनों को व्रत करने पर प्राप्त होता है।"
Translated in English 
Goddess Parvati, the symbol of supreme spiritual eternal love in the universe, was reunited with Mahadev, the God of Gods, on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Shravan, as a result of which, on this day, the blessings of Goddess Parvati are received by fasting on all married women.
